Casserole night in Canada

I know it's been awhile and I know this isn't about bands and shit: too bad. I'm sure you have heard all about the student strikes across Quebec, what started as a simple action against a raise on tuition rates has blown up and become about so much more than tuition rates. These were all taken during a march and rally here in Ottawa in solidarity with the strikers. If you care at all about education, social justice, police brutality, get yourself informed on this, in English Canada we just acted like fucking sheep every time the government or schools told us tuition fees needed to go up, and up, and up. We just humbly acquiesced to their bullshit every time. While Quebec students have a history (as does the whole province) of raising hell whenever you try to fuck with them.

Our new model economy needs a large force of uneducated, barely employable drones to keep the service industry running, while a small privileged class  benefits off of a massive pool of cheap labour. The government and corporate class want you in debt young and for as long as possible, for the longer you are in debt the longer you'll be  a revenue stream for them.

Stop being a fucking commodity, get out there and raise fucking hell.

PS. I'll be back to the bands soon enough.
